Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are essential to guarantee quality and safety in the animal feed industry, ensuring legal compliance and competitiveness. This paper aimed to present the importance of GMP as a quality control tool in feed manufacturing, as well as the challenges faced in their implementation. The review highlighted that GMP encompasses everything from supplier qualification to product traceability, and is essential for preventing contamination and ensuring food safety. However, its adoption faces obstacles such as structural limitations, resistance to change, and the need for technical training. On the other hand, companies that invest in planning, infrastructure, and ongoing training achieve better results and compliance. It is concluded that effective GMP implementation is essential for protecting animal health, consumer safety, and the sustainability of the sector.
