Abstract

This study discusses the relationship between teacher education, pedagogical innovation, and the use of podcasts as instruments of technological mediation in educational processes. Considering the transformations driven by Digital Information and Communication Technologies (DICT), it highlights the need to rethink teaching and learning practices by integrating media resources that promote collective knowledge construction. The podcast, as an accessible and interactive tool, enables new forms of expression, listening, and authorship, expanding digital literacy and fostering meaningful learning. In this context, continuous teacher training plays a central role, as it enables educators to plan, produce, and use podcasts critically and creatively, enhancing pedagogical mediation and student engagement. Thus, this study understands the podcast not merely as a complementary technology but as a formative device that encourages innovation, autonomy, and the democratization of knowledge within the educational environment.
