Abstract

Inclusive education, consolidated as a central principle of educational policies in Brazil and worldwide, faces new challenges in the context of the expansion of digital technologies. The main purpose is to examine the obstacles and possibilities offered by new technologies for the digital and educational inclusion of students with disabilities in basic education. The research was developed through a bibliographic approach, based on national legislation, international reports, and recent academic productions, organized through content analysis. The findings showed that Brazilian legislation, particularly the Brazilian Inclusion Law (2015) and the National Common Curricular Base (2018), establishes important parameters for digital inclusion, but there is still a gap between regulatory frameworks and school practices. Barriers identified include the lack of adequate infrastructure, the absence of permanent teacher training programs, and social inequalities that mainly affect students in more vulnerable conditions. It was also found that emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and adaptive software, offer opportunities to expand the personalization of teaching and promote new forms of expression and authorship. The analysis also revealed that collaborative and interdisciplinary practices favor the engagement of students with disabilities, transforming digital tools into resources for collective construction. Finally, it was observed that initiatives that articulate public policies, schools, and the school community have greater potential for effectiveness than isolated actions.
