Abstract

This article discusses the main challenges and strategies for the effective implementation of inclusive education in Brazil, focusing on equity, the development and implementation of the Individualized Education Plan (IEP), assistive technologies, collaborative pedagogical practices, continuing teacher training, and addressing the specific needs of students with disabilities. Through a qualitative and exploratory approach, based on a literature review, the study points to the urgency of effective public policies, critical and transformative teacher training, and pedagogical practices that respect the singularities of individuals. Inclusive education is understood as a fundamental right and a path to building a democratic and socially just school.
