Abstract

The fungus Trichoderma sp. was inoculated in a mineral medium using 2% (w/v) coffee husk as a carbon source for submerged fermentation. According to the results obtained, a maximum endoglucanase enzyme activity of 0.241 ± 0.00 IU/mL was observed after 8 days of cultivation, while the β-glucosidase enzyme showed a maximum activity of 26.90 ± 0.03 IU/mL after the same period. In the step of applying the crude enzymatic extract for husk hydrolysis, 2.5 g/L of glucose was released in 24 hours.
