THE TEACHER TRAINING PROCESS AND POSSIBILITIES WITH PRODUCTIONS OF BASIC EDUCATION STUDENTS

Abstract

This paper aims to present an analysis conducted by undergraduate students enrolled in a Mathematics degree program, analyzing written productions developed based on a task that addressed metric relations in right triangles. This task constituted a diagnostic test administered to high school students. To perform the analysis, an initial correction was made with the assignment of credits, a description, and grouping of these works based on certain criteria. These procedures are recommended by some authors for conducting Written Production Analysis from an assessment perspective as a continuous process integrated into teaching and learning that aims to diagnose, guide, and develop students. Based on the results, it is possible to infer that the students demonstrate skills in basic operations and image interpretation. Furthermore, only a few students are able to apply some fundamental theorems, such as the Pythagorean Theorem.
