LEARNING TO LISTEN: DEVELOPING ACTIVE LISTENING IN PEDAGOGICAL PRACTICES OF BASIC EDUCATION

This article analyzes the importance of active listening as a fundamental element in pedagogical practices in Basic Education. It starts from the understanding that genuinely listening to students contributes not only to building stronger bonds between teacher and learner, but also to developing autonomy, empathy, and critical thinking. The research is based on bibliographic review and theoretical contributions from educational psychology and critical pedagogy, aiming to identify strategies that promote meaningful listening in the school environment. By valuing listening as a formative practice, the article defends a dialogical pedagogy that recognizes the uniqueness of each student in their formative process.
