This paper addresses the teaching of History in the final grades of elementary school, focusing on the integration of new technologies. The aim is to analyze the importance of History teaching in this context, the benefits and challenges of using new technologies, as well as their impact on students’ learning. The method involved a review of academic literature and the analysis of studies addressing the topic. The results indicate that History teaching plays a fundamental role in students’ education, fostering the development of critical skills and the construction of historical awareness. The integration of new technologies provides opportunities to make classes more interactive and engaging, but also presents challenges related to infrastructure, teacher training, and the critical evaluation of digital sources. The impact on students’ learning can be positive when technologies are used in a planned and reflective manner. It is concluded that History teaching must continue to evolve to reflect the digital reality, while maintaining a focus on building historical awareness and promoting critical analysis.
