Abstract

Adult and Youth Education (EJA) is a unique space where interrupted stories, resumed dreams, and rebuilt hopes meet. In this context, the educator's role transcends the simple transmission of content: they become a mediator of trajectories and a facilitator of new beginnings. This experience report aims to reflect on the literacy process in EJA from the perspective of a teacher who, although not directly involved in literacy, interacts with students who have not yet mastered reading and writing.
