A disreflexia autonômica (DA) é complicação frequente em lesão medular, emergência hipertensiva neurogênica aguda, de início súbito e potencialmente fatal, subdiagnosticada em contextos não especializados (1,2,3,4,6,7,8). Estudos mostram comportamento fisiopatológico previsível subexplorado para estratégias preventivas. A reinterpretação do fenômeno sob perspectiva aplicada é necessária.
