TECNOLOGÍAS EDUCATIVAS EN SALUD BUCAL PARA ADOLESCENTES: UNA REVISIÓN INTEGRATIVA EN EL CONTEXTO DE LA ALFABETIZACIÓN EN SALUD

Este estudio evaluó el uso de tecnologías educativas en salud bucodental (SO) para adolescentes en el contexto de la alfabetización en salud (AS). Se realizó una revisión integrativa en las bases de datos Web of Science, Scopus y PubMed entre 2017 y 2021. Los criterios de inclusión fueron la mención de una tecnología educativa (TE) dirigida a la SO en adolescentes, siempre que estuviera publicada en portugués e inglés. Se excluyeron capítulos de libros, tesis, resúmenes, informes técnicos, cartas al editor, reseñas de libros, informes, revisiones, metaanálisis y aquellos sin texto completo. Se elaboró un resumen para informar los resultados del estudio y los estándares reconocidos. De las 279 referencias identificadas, 13 estudios cumplieron los criterios. Los teléfonos celulares (videos, aplicaciones, recordatorios, juegos) fueron el método más común para implementar intervenciones de higiene bucodental, debido a su amplia adopción y portabilidad. Tras estas intervenciones, se observaron mejoras en los conocimientos, la autoeficacia y las prácticas de higiene. A pesar de la gran importancia de la salud bucodental en los adolescentes y sus efectos positivos en su salud futura, el uso de la TE en adolescentes en el contexto de la alfabetización en higiene bucodental aún es muy limitado.
