Resumen

The plant Alpinia zerumbet, commonly known as "Colônia," is widely utilized in traditional medicine for addressing anxiety and hypertension, both of which are associated with oxidative damage in the brain. This study aimed to explore the antioxidant and anticholinesterase properties of the essential oil extracted from its leaves. Additionally, an in-silico investigation was carried out on several essential oil constituents concerning the acetylcholinesterase enzyme.
