FACTORES ASOCIADOS CON EL COMPORTAMIENTO CONTROLADOR DE LA PAREJA

Resumen

La conducta de control de pareja incluye actos como inhibir el contacto de la mujer con amigos y familiares. Este es un estudio transversal, descriptivo y analítico realizado en la Unidad de Neonatología de un Hospital Universitario del Nordeste de Brasil. La recolección de datos se realizó mediante entrevistas con mujeres durante su hospitalización posparto. Se evaluaron las condiciones socioeconómicas, los datos prenatales y del parto, y los problemas de salud física y mental durante el embarazo. Se utilizó el Cuestionario de Autoinforme-20 (SRQ-20) para evaluar la salud mental. La conducta de control de pareja (CCP) se evaluó mediante un cuestionario sobre el perfil de la relación entre las parejas. Se entrevistaron doscientas cincuenta y seis mujeres en posparto, de las cuales el 37,1% reportó experimentar CCP, con mayor prevalencia entre adolescentes (9,3% vs. 17,9%; p=0,045), mujeres solteras (47,2% vs. 67,4%; p=0,002), aquellas que tenían preeclampsia (18,6% vs. 29,5%; p=0,045) y aquellas con sospecha de trastornos mentales comunes (43,5% vs. 61,1%; p=0,007). La prevalencia de algún tipo de IPV (psicológica, física y/o sexual) durante el embarazo fue del 15,2%, y durante la vida fue del 38,6%. Los factores asociados con el CCP, con una probabilidad aproximadamente dos veces mayor, fueron: estar soltera, el consumo de sustancias durante el embarazo y las discusiones frecuentes entre la pareja. Esta probabilidad fue casi cuatro veces mayor cuando la mujer reportó IPV tanto durante el embarazo como durante la vida. El comportamiento controlador puede ser un predictor de violencia de pareja; identificarlo tempranamente permite desarrollar estrategias de intervención para mitigar las consecuencias para la salud física y mental materna.
