PERFIL SOCIODEMOGRÁFICO DE PACIENTES CON CÁNCER DE CUELLO UTERINO Y QUEJAS SEXUALES ATENDIDAS EN EL SERVICIO DE SEXOLOGÍA DEL CENTRO DE REFERENCIA DE SALUD DE LA MUJER DEL HOSPITAL DE LA MUJER DE 2015 A 2022

El objetivo de este estudio fue analizar el perfil sociodemográfico de pacientes con cáncer de cuello uterino y quejas sexuales atendidas en el servicio de sexología del Centro de Referencia de Salud de la Mujer en el Hospital de la Mujer de 2015 a 2022. Se utilizó un estudio retrospectivo a través del análisis de historias clínicas de mujeres con cáncer de cuello uterino atendidas en el sector de sexología de 2015 a 2022 debido a quejas sexuales. A todas las mujeres se les realizó un cuestionario semiestructurado estandarizado del servicio, administrado por un sexólogo experimentado. Se evaluaron cincuenta mujeres, con una edad media de 43,7 años (± 9,7). Las características sociodemográficas predominantes fueron: mujeres casadas (62%), con educación secundaria (45,8%), color de piel morena (60%) y religión católica (46%). Entre las mujeres evaluadas, 10 (20%) presentaron antecedentes de violencia sexual y la queja sexual más prevalente estuvo relacionada con el bajo deseo sexual (40%). En cuanto al tratamiento, se realizaron tres tipos: el 50% se sometió a quimioterapia, radioterapia y braquiterapia; El 18% se sometió a una histerectomía abdominal total y el 16% a una cirugía de alta frecuencia. Las pacientes que se sometieron al primer tratamiento presentaron dolor como la queja sexual más frecuente (40%). Las que se sometieron al segundo tratamiento presentaron bajo deseo sexual (66,7%) y las que se sometieron al tercer tratamiento reportaron dolor/bajo deseo sexual (37,5% cada una). Se observó que la vida sexual de las mujeres se ve afectada después del tratamiento del cáncer de cuello uterino y, a menudo, no reciben apoyo para mejorar su calidad. Existe una probable relación entre las quejas sexuales y el tipo de tratamiento realizado. Las mujeres que se someten a una histerectomía tienden a presentar bajo deseo sexual, y las que se someten a radioterapia experimentan dolor sexual.
