SÍNTOMAS PSICÓTICOS TRAS LA VIVENCIA DE UN TRAUMA COMPLEJO: INFORME DE CASO Y REVISIÓN NARRATIVA SOBRE EL TEMA

La vivencia de traumas complejos representa un desafío significativo para la salud mental, con el potencial de desencadenar trastornos graves y duraderos. En muchos casos, estas experiencias traumáticas son capaces de precipitar síntomas psicóticos que comprometen profundamente la funcionalidad y la calidad de vida de los individuos afectados. En este relato, se describe el caso clínico de una paciente que, tras permanecer en cautiverio durante dos años y ser sometida a diferentes formas de violencia (física, sexual y psicológica), desarrolló manifestaciones psicóticas, incluyendo alucinaciones auditivas, visuales y olfativas, así como delirios persecutorios. Además, se observó un deterioro significativo en su funcionalidad cotidiana y en sus relaciones interpersonales. Esta condición evidenció la posible interconexión entre el trauma extremo, el Trastorno de Estrés Postraumático Complejo (TEPT-C) y los trastornos psicóticos. El presente relato refuerza la importancia de enfoques terapéuticos integrados y del seguimiento continuo por parte de equipos multiprofesionales especializados para posibilitar la rehabilitación psicosocial y emocional de estos pacientes.
