Abstract

This research focuses on the challenges, legal implications, and labor regulations applicable to foreign workers in Brazil, with an emphasis on the period from 2020 to 2024, a context marked by intensified migratory flows and the need for regulations compatible with the demands of the globalized labor market. Currently, the topic is addressed from a perspective of increasing legal and social relevance, given the growing presence of immigrants in strategic sectors, such as the Manaus Industrial Hub. The choice of the subject stemmed from the perception of gaps in labor and immigration legislation, especially regarding the effectiveness of the protection of rights and the inclusion of these workers under equal conditions. The general objective was to analyze the legal strategies adopted by Brazil to promote the inclusion of immigrant workers in the labor market, investigating hiring practices, applicable regulatory instruments, and their economic, social, and legal impacts. The methodology adopted was qualitative, exploratory, and descriptive, involving bibliographic research, document analysis, semi-structured interviews with specialists and workers, as well as a case study in companies that hire foreigners. The results revealed bureaucratic obstacles, discrimination, and difficulty in recognizing qualifications, but also relevant regulatory advances. It is concluded that the effective inclusion of immigrants demands integrated public policies and improvement of the legal framework.
