THE POWER OF AFFECTIONS: EXPERIENCES FROM TWO DOCTORAL RESEARCHES IN EDUCATION

This article presents the power of affects engendered in educational research as an affirmation of life. These affects permeate bodies, constituting an aesthetic and sensitive experience that permeates curricula and teaching through artistic signs. In this sense, this essay aims to capture affects and affections produced in two doctoral theses in education, permeated by the experience of thinking, in the movement of violating thought through artistic signs, opening gaps for an aesthetic experience as a condition of human possibility. Thus, using a cartographic methodology, this work launches into a movement of encounter with two doctoral research projects in education that focus on the power of curricula and teacher training, with children and teachers from two Brazilian public schools. These studies indicate that artistic signs reveal processes of subjectivation that allow us to reach diverse worlds through experimentation, stimulated as a flow of force to shatter representations, driving the invention of possibilities, and enabling the establishment of an education grounded in the dimension of the sensitive.
