Therefore, this paper aimed to analyze the professional preferences and expectations of high school students who attended at the Western Paraná State University’Careers Fair. To this end, a survey was carried out during the career fair through the application of a questionnaire, the theme of which involved the differents professions and the students' interest in each one. Only high school students were eligible to participate. 40 students voluntarily participated in the survey, which included their age, grade in which they were enrolled, in addition to 95 professions of interest. Thus, it was observed that the most selected professions in the questionnaire were physician, architect, artist, biologist, administrator, lawyer, actor, biochemist, decorator, and psychologist, which allows us to conclude that there was a predilection for professions that have a greater value in society.
