DIGITAL ENTERPRISE AND ELECTRONIC COMMERCE: REFLECTIONS ON THE IMPACTS OF THE DIGITAL ECONOMY ON BRAZILIAN BUSINESS LAW

Abstract

This article analyzes the impacts of electronic commerce on Brazilian Business Law, considering the transformations resulting from the digitalization of economic activities. The study examines the evolution of e-commerce in Brazil and its effects on the theory of the firm, digital enterprises, virtual business establishments, electronic business contracts, and new models of business organization developed in digital environments. The research adopts a qualitative approach based on bibliographic and documentary review, using doctrine, legislation, and scientific articles related to the subject. The results indicate that electronic commerce does not replace the traditional institutes of Business Law, but requires their interpretation in light of new economic and technological dynamics. It is concluded that the digitalization of the economy has strengthened the relevance of intangible assets, expanded the use of electronic contracts, and fostered the development of digital platforms and marketplaces, demanding continuous adaptation of legal understandings regarding business activities.
