ADULT DYSLEXIA: IMPORTANCE IN THE NURSING FIELD: AN INTEGRATIVE REVIEW

Dyslexia is a specific neurodevelopmental disorder that impacts reading, writing, and phonological processing skills, interfering with individuals' academic performance. Knowledge of pedagogical interventions and regulations aimed at including students with dyslexia is fundamental to ensuring an equitable educational environment. Objective: To describe the policies, legal guidelines, and educational interventions aimed at supporting people with dyslexia. Method: This is an integrative qualitative and quantitative review, using the PICO strategy to guide the collection of evidence in databases, in addition to the analysis of guidelines and regulations published in the last five years. Results and Discussion: Five publications were selected that highlight the importance of interdisciplinary approaches, the use of educational technologies, and the role of inclusive public policies in supporting dyslexia. Conclusion: Supporting individuals with dyslexia requires specific pedagogical interventions, associated with an ethical and social commitment to promote inclusion and respect for diversity in educational practices.
