AXIOMS OF MATHEMATICS: A PROPOSAL FOR A PHYSICS TEACHING METHODOLOGY

Research based on physics teaching methodology, with a focus on teaching physics formulas with the aid of mathematical axioms, which provide support for each algebraic manipulation we perform. However, although studies on physics teaching methodologies focus on the theoretical part, leaving mathematical modeling aside as something secondary, how can we teach this essential element, which is problem solving, when students have difficulties with basic calculations? In this study, we seek to analyze the studies of mathematical postulates as a catalyst for teaching mathematical modeling. To promote the ideas presented, we conducted a small bibliographic survey that addressed the subject clearly and included elements for research. According to the authors, we can use axioms as a tool for explaining physical equations, thus removing the mechanism and moving towards a complete understanding of each content studied. With this teaching approach, we can connect the teaching of mathematical modeling that is present in physics in a clear and complete way, giving intellectual freedom to students.
