BULLYING AND CYBERBULLYING IN THE SCHOOL CONTEXT: IMPACTS AND PATHS TO PREVENTION

This article presents a section of research conducted in Brasília, focusing on results from a social institution in Brasília-DF that serves vulnerable adolescents. A mixed-methods approach was adopted, using a questionnaire that covered dimensions such as internet use, experiences of cyberbullying, subjective perceptions, and emotional impacts. The sample consisted of 135 students. The results indicated that the well-being of adolescents is not directly related to the time spent using social networks, but rather to the quality of interpersonal relationships, the context of coexistence, and family cohesion. The findings reinforce the importance of school as a space for ethical coexistence, the need for critical digital literacy, and the prevention of violence.
