FIBROMIALGIA E TREINO DE FUNÇÕES EXECUTIVAS: UMA REVISÃO DE ESCOPO

Justificativa e Objetivos: A fibromialgia, caracterizada como uma síndrome dolorosa crônica, impacta substancialmente uma fração considerável da população mundial, não apenas se manifestando através de dor persistente, mas também comprometendo a qualidade de vida dos indivíduos afetados. A presente revisão de escopo foi conduzida com o intuito de sondar a interação entre fibromialgia e funções executivas. Estas referem-se a um conjunto sofisticado de habilidades cognitivas que englobam, mas não se limitam a, controle inibitório, regulação emocional, planejamento estratégico e tomada de decisão criteriosa. Método: Para a realização desta revisão, as palavras-chave "fibromialgia" e "funções executivas" foram empregadas em uma busca sistemática nos bancos de dados PubMed, Scilit e Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde. Optou-se por incluir estudos publicados no intervalo temporal de 2018 a 2023. A finalidade desta revisão foi ofertar uma perspectiva holística e atualizada acerca das descobertas e dos insights da literatura sobre a inter-relação entre fibromialgia e funções executivas. Resultados: Entre os desafios salientados na literatura, destaca-se a complexidade inerente à etiologia da fibromialgia, o lapso temporal frequentemente observado até o diagnóstico correto e a presença de comorbidades concomitantes. Conclusão: Essas variáveis podem potencialmente interferir na adesão terapêutica do paciente e, consequentemente, nas estratégias de intervenção propostas.
