This study analyzes the use of digital technologies in education in the administrative sectors of the University of Brasília (UnB) and the Federal University of São Paulo (Unifesp). In recent years, there has been significant growth in the application of technological innovations in universities, both in administrative and pedagogical processes. These technologies are tools that integrate processes and facilitate communication and information sharing in an agile and efficient manner, playing an essential role in the modernization of public education institutions. The main objective of the study is to understand how digital technologies are applied in the administrative sectors of UnB and Unifesp, aiming to improve efficiency in public service. In addition, the study seeks to explore how these technological innovations can encourage the production of new knowledge and improve the quality of services offered to the academic community and society. The research adopts a qualitative approach, based on document analysis. Digital systems used in universities, such as the Electronic Information System (SEI), Siapenet, SIGAA, SIPAC, the RNP platform and SIGRH, were analyzed to understand their impact on administrative and academic processes. The literature review includes authors such as Carbonell (2002), Fuck (2012), Garcia (1980), Rios (1996) and Imbernón (2011), who support the theoretical discussion. The results indicate that the implementation of digital technologies in the administrative sectors of universities has provided greater speed and efficiency in processes that previously took weeks or months to process. The highlighted digital platforms facilitated the progress of processes and promoted cost-effectiveness in administrative procedures. However, it was identified that not all technical-administrative and teaching staff are familiar or comfortable with the use of these technologies, which highlights the need for training and qualification. The research highlights that, although digital technologies bring significant improvements in efficiency and internal communication, their isolated adoption does not guarantee innovation or excellence in service. Change in processes depends not only on technological tools, but also on the adequate integration of these solutions into the institutional routine and on the preparation of professionals to use them effectively. In addition to improving administrative processes, digitalization can also encourage research and innovation, provided there is structured planning for their implementation and continuous use. The study concludes that the use of digital technologies is essential to modernize universities and increase the efficiency of administrative processes. However, the full realization of the benefits of these innovations depends on the training of employees and the efficient integration of these tools into the work environment.
