Abstract

Psychomotor skills are an essential area in the field of early childhood education, as they help children develop their overall development. They integrate movement and mind, promoting physical, cognitive, emotional and social growth. In this crucial phase of discovery, psychomotor activities provide a solid foundation for learning. Through play, games and exercises, children improve their motor skills, coordination, balance and spatial awareness. Children's intense participation in group activities promotes a spirit of cooperation, respect and teamwork, developing important social skills. Emotionally, psychomotor skills help children express and regulate their emotions, promoting self-esteem and self-confidence. In the playful field, they are encouraged to develop creativity and critical thinking, allowing them to explore and better understand the world around them. Therefore, psychomotor skills in early childhood education go beyond physical development, being crucial for children's overall growth. Providing an environment rich in psychomotor stimuli from an early age is investing in children's well-being and future success, preparing them for the challenges of school and life. Promoting these experiences ensures that each child develops their maximum potential, living a full and healthy childhood.
