Abstract

Aesthetic Biomedicine has gained a relevant place between science and personal care. More than a set of techniques, it represents a field of reconnection between body, mind, and identity. In a time marked by haste and aesthetic pressure, some people seek in aesthetic intervention something greater — a pause, a sense of balance between science and the human being. This study aimed to understand, through scientific literature, how biomedical aesthetic interventions influence psychophysiological responses and affect the perception of well-being. An integrative review was conducted, inspired by the model of Whittemore and Knafl (2005), analyzing publications in Portuguese and English from 2015 to 2025, retrieved from PubMed, SciELO, LILACS, and ScienceDirect databases. The evidence found indicates that techniques such as photobiomodulation, microneedling, and collagen biostimulation go beyond visible results, leading to reduced cortisol levels, stimulation of endorphin release, and improvement in self-esteem. These reactions suggest that aesthetics, when guided by ethics and scientific principles, contribute to the promotion of health and psychophysiological balance. It is concluded that Aesthetic Biomedicine functions as a bridge between the biological and the subjective. By combining technical rigor, sensitivity, and purpose, it expands the concept of human care and reaffirms that Quality of Life (QoL) is also built in the mirror — but begins within each individual.
