This study investigates the importance of continuing education for teacher development and motivation, highlighting its fundamental role in improving educational quality. Based on an extensive review of the literature and analysis of case studies, the study reveals that continuing education is essential for enabling teachers to meet the challenges of an ever-changing educational environment. Continuing education is presented as an effective means of promoting professional growth, fostering pedagogical innovation, and increasing educators' engagement in their daily practices. Reviewed studies and renowned authors, such as Paulo Freire and John Dewey, argue that teachers' constant learning not only enhances their knowledge and skills but also improves motivation and attitude in the classroom, positively reflecting on student performance. This work seeks to demonstrate how educational policies that encourage continuing education can result in significant improvements in the educational system, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous development.
