Abstract

Multisystem emergencies represent one of the most complex scenarios in emergency care, as they involve patients with clinical instability resulting from changes in multiple organs and systems. Care requires speed, a comprehensive view, and integration between different medical specialties. The challenge ranges from early recognition, through initial stabilization, to the simultaneous management of serious complications. The team must work in a coordinated manner, respecting protocols, but also adapting procedures to the specificities of each case. This chapter addresses the main dimensions of the management of multisystem emergencies, highlighting the relevance of interdisciplinarity, ethics, and hospital organization.
