TERAPIA DE ESPEJO CON SMARTPHONE: ANÁLISIS FUNCIONAL DEL HEMISFERIO CEREBRAL TRAS UN ICTUS

Las secuelas de un ictus son numerosas y pueden derivar en hemiparesia o hemiplejía en un lado del cuerpo. Entre los tratamientos actuales para la intervención, la terapia de espejo es una propuesta que busca la reorganización de la corteza cerebral y la recuperación de la funcionalidad, además de reducir el dolor. Por lo tanto, el objetivo es desarrollar un método de entrenamiento/rehabilitación de extremidades mediante gafas de realidad virtual adaptadas para su uso con un teléfono inteligente, con el fin de aplicar la terapia de espejo de forma más independiente. Para la evaluación, se utilizaron el dinamómetro de agarre palmar, la escala Fugl-Meyer, el test Time Get Up And Go, el test de habilidades motoras para la extremidad superior y la electromiografía de superficie de las extremidades antes y después de la intervención terapéutica para evaluar la función motora y la fuerza muscular. En el análisis estadístico, se realizaron pruebas t de Student para parámetros normales y pruebas de Wilcoxon para parámetros anormales, donde se consideró un valor p de 0,05 para el rechazo de la hipótesis nula. Para los datos de electromiografía de superficie, las variables en estudio se analizaron con ajustes de tendencia para variables cuantitativas y una prueba t pareada para la comparación de mediciones. Se concluyó que hubo una mejoría significativa en todas las pruebas evaluativas en las extremidades superiores; sin embargo, en las extremidades inferiores, solo se observó una evolución en el rango de movimiento y en la activación eléctrica muscular para las pruebas evaluativas.
