Abstract

This article examines the relationship between childhood obesity and urban environments, considering the interplay between behavioral, structural, and public policy factors. From an interdisciplinary perspective, it analyzes how urban design, access to recreational spaces, food availability, and socioeconomic conditions influence children's eating habits and physical activity. The study is based on a recent literature review (2020–2025) and highlights the need for integrated actions between health, urban planning, and education to address this public health challenge.
