Nature experiences, environmental experiences, forest bathing, multisensory contact in green environments: the connection between human beings and the natural environment has been an increasingly frequent topic of scientific studies and points to countless impacts on human life. The objective of this article is to identify benefits of contact with nature for the human health experience. The method is bibliographic research in the SciELO database. The results indicate that nature is therapeutic as it offers a state of mental well-being, cardiovascular health, improves the quality of breathing, promotes creativity and concentration, has an impact on the quality of life at work, offers moments of spiritual connection and insight. of the meaning of life, positively affects social interactions, predisposes to the adoption of sustainable practices and the experience of sensitive environmental education.
