Introduction: Over the years, the practice of body piercing has evolved to become a popular form of individual expression. Object of the study, Biosafety and the care applied to the population undergoing procedures. But what is the best way to manage the biosafety practice and environment for body piercing? Addressing the importance of biosafety in body piercing procedures and aesthetic health is necessary, since the academic community needs to be supported and capture the perception of care and the population needs to understand that good practices are fundamental for preventing risks and complications in the context of aesthetic health care. Method: Bibliographic review, searching for scientific articles, manuals and guidelines related to biosafety in body piercing. The search for information was carried out in academic databases, using the terms “biosafety”, “biosafety in body piercings”, “piercings” and “care in aesthetic procedures”. Selection of studies from the last five years. The main objective: Highlight the importance of biosafety for health care in body piercing and specific objectives: Problematize biosafety management for entrepreneurship; Contextualize ways to implement biosafety in environments and make them safer. Discussion and Results: It was categorized into: Biosafety - Need to think about the safety factor for procedures in general. Care management and biosafety for healthcare professionals - Entrepreneurial professionals must think that care management constantly seeks to improve care and practices aimed at clients. Care to be adopted for biosafety during body/aesthetic piercing - Evaluate strategies to implement biosafety for body piercing in environments. Final considerations: Biosafety in body piercing is essential. However, it is necessary to create studies that highlight biosafety, but above all, in aesthetic services that involve the practice of body piercing.
