This work is a bibliographical survey that aims to discuss the use of multimedia resources in education and the role of the teacher and student in this context. As a theoretical reference, our work will be based on authors such as: Kenski (2012), Moran (2015) and Prado (2013), the text seeks to understand the role of multimedia in the teaching-learning process, highlighting how the use of videos, audios, animations and interactive platforms can make learning more dynamic and collaborative. Kenski (2012) points out that multimedia resources make education richer in possibilities, while Moran (2015) emphasizes that the successful use of these tools depends on the mediation of the teacher and their adequate training. Prado (2013) adds that the teacher must strategically plan the use of these resources, promoting student autonomy and encouraging critical thinking. The student in turn takes on a more active role in the construction of knowledge, exploring content in an autonomous and creative way. It can be concluded that although multimedia resources offer great opportunities, it is essential that they are used in a reflective and planned way so that learning can actually take place.
