Abstract

The sugarcane Saccharum officinarum is widely cultivated and requires great nutritional care. Among the nutritional sources for the crop, there are conventional nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium (NPK) fertilizers, nitrogen sources and stillage. However, there are other nutritional sources that require knowledge about their interaction with the other sources used, such as amino acids. Amino acids can promote beneficial physiological responses for stalk and sugar productivity. Thus, the objective of this study was to evaluate the productivity of sugarcane subjected to the application of stillage, mineral fertilizer and amino acid. An experiment was conducted in a randomized block design, with seven treatments and four replications, in the municipality of Ituiutaba-MG. For the variables tons of sugarcane per hectare (TCH), tons of sugar per hectare (TSH) and total recoverable sugar (TRS), the association of the amino acid with urea promoted a decrease with the increase in the doses of urea per hectare, that is, doses of 75 kg ha-1 of  N or above when applied together with BasicPlus (BP). In contrast, the association of stillage, urea and BP in a single application demonstrated better results. Therefore, the use of amino acids in the crop can promote high yields, but there is still little response on the association between amino acids and other nutritional sources used in the crop.
