The main aspect of antisocial personality disorder is a pervasive pattern of callousness and violation of the rights of others, which appears in childhood or early adolescence and continues throughout adulthood. Its prevalence, over a twelve-month period, is between 0.2% and 3.3%, being more frequent in males and in samples affected by adverse socioeconomic or sociocultural factors. The research was conducted through a comprehensive review of the literature, covering articles published between 2020 and 2025. This review demonstrates that antisocial personality disorder is quite challenging. Therefore, several treatment strategies have been proposed based on neuroscientific findings. However, there is still no consensus on its true benefits. Therefore, it is essential to individualize the therapy and consider the singularities of the person and the context in which they live.
