Artificial intelligence (AI) has transformed distance education, promoting personalized teaching and new forms of interaction. This paper aims to show the influence of Artificial Intelligence in Distance Education, exploring its applications, benefits, challenges, advantages, disadvantages and impacts on the teaching and learning process. A bibliographical research was conducted on the use of Artificial Intelligence in distance education courses, the challenges of daily life, the limits and precautions of its use in order to meet the demands of teaching in the 21st century. The relevance of this study lies not only in the analysis of the advantages of artificial intelligence in distance education, but also in understanding its challenges, limitations and impacts on the quality of teaching and the student experience. We explored a bibliographical research carried out based on the theoretical framework addressed in the discipline Technologies and Applications of Distance Education and found that intelligence artificial has revolutionized distance education courses, expanding the personalization and accessibility of teaching. However, overcoming challenges such as digital inclusion and ethical issues is essential for equitable progress.
