Logistics is not a new topic. Its concept originated in the eighteenth century, in military operations, in the sense of allowing troops to be moved at the right time and with the respective equipment both for war and medical aid. It is not only related to the transportation of products to the consumer, as many think, it involves other sectors such as supply, production and distribution. This study aimed to analyze the logistical challenges faced by merchants in the municipality of Eirunepé-AM, identifying their impacts on the local economy and proposing strategies to minimize these difficulties. The present study is justified by the relevance of the logistical challenges faced in the municipality of Eirunepé-AM, which directly impact merchants and consumers. The methodology adopted in the research was inductive, quantitative and had the following procedures: bibliographic, descriptive, exploratory and field research. The theoretical basis was based on authors in the area: Araújo (2020), Bernardi (2018), Lima (2021), Novaes (2010), Rodrigues (2018), among others. The results revealed that during the drought, the delays of the ferries that transport goods to the city cause prices to increase and the availability of products to be compromised, thus affecting the local economy.
