Abstract

This study investigated the integration of technologies, such as gamification and Artificial Intelligence (AI), in high school English language teaching, aiming to analyze their contributions to personalized learning and identify the challenges and potentialities of this process. The main problem addressed was how the integration of these technologies can contribute to the personalization of learning in English language teaching and what are the challenges and potentialities of this process. The general objective was to understand the impact of these tools on the teaching-learning process. The methodology adopted was exclusively bibliographical, analyzing previously published works and studies. The development discussed the use of gamification and AI in language teaching, highlighting their pedagogical implications and the personalization of learning. The final considerations emphasized that the integration of these technologies can promote more personalized learning, although teacher training and ethical issues related to the use of AI remain challenges. Furthermore, further research was suggested to investigate the impact of these technologies in different educational contexts.
