This study addressed the impact of monitoring and feedback tools on academic monitoring and student performance in Distance Education (EAD) courses. The problem investigated was to understand how these tools influence the teaching-learning process, considering the particularities of distance education. The general objective of the research was to analyze the role of these tools in personalizing academic monitoring and improving student performance. The adopted methodology was bibliographic research, analyzing articles, books, and academic materials on academic monitoring, technological tools, and active methodologies in EAD. The study's development showed that the use of monitoring tools, such as learning management platforms, and feedback contributes to continuous and personalized student monitoring, resulting in higher engagement and better performance. Active methodologies, such as gamification, were identified as effective strategies for making the learning environment more dynamic and motivating. In the final considerations, the importance of an integrated approach between technology and pedagogy was highlighted, suggesting further research to explore how to improve these tools and methodologies in different educational contexts.
