THE RELEVANCE OF THE CREATION OF A DOMESTIC EMPLOYEES UNION TO GUARANTEE THE ENFORCEMENT OF LABOR RIGHTS IN THE CITY OF TUCURUÍ-PA

This paper aims to assess the relevance of establishing a domestic workers' union to ensure the enforcement of labor rights in the city of Tucuruí, Pará. To this end, bibliographic and documentary research was used, based on legislation, international standards, and academic studies. Initially, the paper addresses the definition and contextualization of domestic work in Brazil, highlighting the historical evolution of the rights of this category. Next, the legal protection provided by ILO Convention No. 189 and Complementary Law No. 150/2015 is analyzed. Finally, the paper discusses the role of union oversight and its importance in democratizing access to information, especially in regional contexts, identifying challenges and proposing solutions for the city of Tucuruí.
