It's increasingly common to see schools and universities looking for new ways of teaching, ways that make more sense to those who learn and that dialog with the transformations of our time. In this scenario, technology has proved to be an important ally, especially when combined with methodologies that place the student at the center of the process. This article is based on a systematic literature review to understand how tools such as artificial intelligence and strategies such as active learning, the flipped classroom and hybrid teaching have been applied in education. Studies published between 2019 and 2024 in databases such as Scopus, Web of Science and SciELO were analyzed. In general, the results show significant advances in the personalization of learning and student engagement. But there are also obstacles such as insufficient teacher training, unequal access to technology and resistance to change. The truth is that innovating in education doesn't just depend on equipment or applications: it involves culture, public policies, training and, above all, the will to transform the way we teach and learn.
