The aim of the research is to understand the contribution of digital technologies in the continuing education of teachers in the municipality of Itapipoca, Ceará, and it reports on the researcher's experience as a participant in the continuing education of teachers with guidance counselors, managers, trainers and teachers of Portuguese Language and Mathematics in the 4th and 5th years of elementary school. It includes discussions on the technological tools used in continuing teacher training, lists software, files and other resources applicable to the use of technology in training, and analyzes the potential of technology in teacher training through the resources and strategies used. The conclusion is that there is no longer any room for those who deny technology. The inclusion of digital competences in curricular components for initial teacher training should provide support for the use of Digital Information and Communication Technologies (DICT), reconfiguring the way teaching and learning is done.
