Abstract

This study addressed educational convergence and the challenges faced by teachers in adapting to new teaching methodologies in the context of digital technology integration. The central problem investigated was: What are the main challenges faced by teachers in the era of educational convergence and how can the integration of digital technologies contribute to the construction of an inclusive education aligned with global citizenship? The overall objective of the research was to analyze the challenges faced by teachers and the role of digital technologies in transforming pedagogical practices. The methodology used was bibliographic research, with a review of previous studies that addressed the integration of technologies in teaching, teacher training, and education for global citizenship. The development of the work revealed that, despite the difficulties of adaptation and the need for constant updating, digital technologies offer opportunities to create a dynamic and personalized education. It was found that the continuous training of educators is essential for the successful implementation of these tools. The final considerations pointed out that, although the challenges are significant, educational convergence can contribute to inclusive education, provided that schools invest in infrastructure and teacher training. Future studies are needed to further analyze the effectiveness of these technologies on students' academic performance.
