This study addressed the importance of digital mediation in distance learning, with the aim of analyzing pedagogical mediation strategies and the contributions of the different actors involved in the teaching-learning process. The research was conducted bibliographically, based on a review of the literature on the performance of teachers, students, and technologies in the context of distance learning. The study highlighted that pedagogical mediation in distance learning depends on the interaction between teachers, technological tools, and students, and is fundamental to educational success. The research revealed that the role of the teacher as a mediator was essential to guide students and use technologies strategically, promoting the personalization of teaching and student autonomy. The final considerations indicated that digital mediation strategies are effective when properly integrated, but pointed to the need for further studies on the challenges faced by teachers and the impact of emerging technologies on the educational process. Digital inclusion was also highlighted as a critical factor that needs greater attention in future research. In summary, the research contributed to the understanding of pedagogical mediation in distance learning and suggested directions for further studies on the effectiveness of technologies in remote teaching.
