This study addressed instructional design practices in the context of education, focusing on the influence of this model on active teaching methodologies. The central problem investigated was how instructional design can influence the implementation of active methodologies, promoting effective and participatory learning. The overall objective was to analyze instructional design practices, highlighting their advantages and disadvantages in the implementation of active methodologies. The methodology adopted was bibliographic research, based on the analysis of specialized literature on the subject. In the development, the concept of instructional design, its application in active methodologies, and its implications for the teaching process were discussed. It was found that instructional design, when well integrated with active methodologies, contributes to student-centered learning, promoting greater autonomy and engagement. However, challenges such as resistance from educators and inadequate infrastructure were identified as significant obstacles. In the final considerations, the importance of instructional design for contemporary education was emphasized, suggesting the need for investments in teacher training and school infrastructure. In addition, the relevance of future studies to explore the impact of this model in different educational contexts was indicated.
