Special Education is understood as a teaching modality aimed at providing services and support that ensure the schooling of students belonging to the Target Audience of Special Education (PAEE), however it is still presented as a challenge for many schools for its full operation. The present study investigates the role of the school manager in the inclusion of special education students (PAEE) in the initial grades of basic education, specifically in private schools in the ABC Paulista region. The objective is to analyze the influence of these managers on the effectiveness of inclusive education. The research has a qualitative approach, using field research in line with documentary and bibliographic review in the time range from 2019 to 2024. Semi-structured interviews will be conducted with school principals and data analysis will be conducted with the WebQDA software. It is hoped that the results will promote discussions on inclusive education and contribute to future studies in the area.
