Dentin hypersensitivity (DH) is a prevalent clinical condition characterized by short, sharp pain triggered by external stimuli on exposed dentin. Available therapeutic approaches predominantly focus on dentinal tubule obliteration, with variable efficacy and limited action on underlying inflammatory mechanisms. This study reports two clinical cases of DH associated with non-carious cervical lesions (NCCLs), treated with an electrospun nanofiber membrane containing ibuprofen (10%) and glutaraldehyde (1%). Two female patients (aged 29 and 48 years), with no systemic medical history, attended a dental clinic at UNIOESTE. DH was confirmed by standardized evaporative stimulus and measured using the Visual Analog Scale (VAS, 0–10 cm). The membranes were applied topically to the exposed dentin surfaces until complete dissolution (~5 minutes). In both cases, pain was reduced from VAS 10 to VAS 0 in all treated teeth, with the effect maintained at 7-, 15-, and 30-day follow-ups and no adverse events recorded. The findings suggest that the electrospun nanofiber membrane containing ibuprofen and glutaraldehyde has potential as a therapeutic approach for DH management, possibly by combining anti-inflammatory action and tubular occlusion. Controlled clinical studies with longitudinal follow-up are needed to confirm its efficacy and durabiliy.
