Sustainable development seeks to meet present needs without compromising future generations, integrating environmental, social, and economic dimensions. In this context, the United Nations 2030 Agenda established 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), among which SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-Being is directly related to the work of health professionals. This study aimed to map and systematize scientific evidence regarding practical actions developed by health professionals aligned with the SDGs. A scoping review was conducted according to the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) recommendations and reported following the PRISMA-ScR checklist. Searches were performed in MEDLINE/PubMed, LILACS, Web of Science, and Cochrane databases, and the included studies were analyzed through descriptive synthesis. Five categories of professional action were identified: health promotion and disease prevention; organization of care; sustainable practices and responsible consumption; professional training for sustainability; and barriers to SDG implementation. A predominance of actions related to SDG 3 was observed, particularly in Primary Health Care, as well as initiatives focused on waste management and rational use of resources in hospital settings. It is concluded that health professionals play a strategic role in SDG implementation, although significant gaps remain in systematically linking these actions to the targets of the 2030 Agenda.
