Abstract

This experience report describes actions carried out in the field of Occupational Nursing, focusing on the identification of and intervention in ergonomic risks present in a work activity. The practice aimed to recognize, analyze, and propose preventive measures related to Repetitive Strain Injuries (RSI) and Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders (WMSD), conditions with high prevalence in occupational environments. The intervention included systematic observation of activities, guidance on postural adjustments, stretching exercises, and promotion of preventive ergonomics. The experience provided a broader understanding of the strategic role of occupational nurses in health promotion and disease prevention, highlighting the importance of health education and worker awareness for the adoption of safe practices. The results reinforce that ergonomic action contributes to risk reduction, improved quality of life, and a stronger safety culture in the workplace, demonstrating the relevance of integrating practice, scientific knowledge, and active worker participation.
