Transtibial amputation, characterized by the partial removal of the limb below the knee, causes significant impacts on mobility, self-esteem, and functional independence, in addition to representing a high cost for health systems. Considering these challenges, this study aims to analyze the practices and obstacles faced in the training of individuals with transtibial amputation in fitness centers, highlighting the role of the Physical Education professional from an inclusive and evidence-based perspective. To this end, a qualitative bibliographic review was conducted using databases such as SciELO, LILACS, Web of Science, and Google Scholar. It was observed that individualized programs focusing on hip strengthening, gait training with feedback, and low-impact modalities such as stationary cycling promote rehabilitation and psychosocial well-being. It is concluded that the performance of Physical Education professionals is crucial for inclusion and for the development of safe, effective, and accessible training protocols in gyms.
